The partnership for the Tisza was successful
The PET Cup ended with the collection of 10,000 tons of waste at the Kisköre Barrage. The PET Cup was announced by the National Directorate General for Water and Coca-Cola in mid-July.
Thanks to the organized activities of the PET Cup, an additional 36 tonnes of waste was discharged at Lake Tisza and the upper sections of the river. More than half of the plastic collected has been reused. The winter period continues with the research os the waste’s route in the river.
