Equilor: the second wave of the pandemic is not expected to bring about a similar economic slowdown to the first
According to Equilor’s expectations, there may be a 5 percent economic downturn in Hungary this year, while a 4-4.5 percent growth is expected next year, and in 2022 the economy may expand by another 4 percent. Inflation may remain above the 3 percent level this year, which could last until the end of 2022 – Török Lajos explained.
He pointed out that the previously strictly held Hungarian general government deficit could be much higher, reaching up to 8 percent this year, and returning to the previous 3 percent deficit target only in 2022-23. (MTI)
