From being an architect to working in the sugar industry
Béla Fischer received the Lifetime Achievement Award of Trade magazin and Lánchíd Club. Mr Fischer was born in Esztergom in 1952 and earned a degree in architecture, which was later followed by another in economics. He started working in the sugar industry in 1995, but he had already worked for Magyar Cukor Zrt. as a consultant before. Later he became the company’s CEO and he managed to turn the loss-making firm into a profitable enterprise, not forgetting about modernising the Magyar Cukor either. Béla Fischer emphasised that he was always proud of being a team player. This prize is really close to his heart because it came from the trade.
