According to a recent survey by EOS, one of Europe’s leading debt management and financial investment companies, young people between the ages of 18 and 34 are strongly interested in finance, and more than half of the respondents (51 percent) want more relevant financial education.
• Young people use cash more often than even six months ago
• Young people are particularly worried about their financial future about inflation, energy prices and unemployment
• Women are more likely to save in times of crisis
In Eastern European countries, such as Romania (70 percent), North Macedonia (54 percent) and Hungary (53 percent), where consumers most often took out new loans and credits in the past six months, there is a particularly high demand for financial education. But 49 percent of young people in the Czech Republic (50 percent) and Spain would expect deeper knowledge about the correct management of money from the education system.
