The World Bank impoved its Hungarian and global GDP growth forecasts
The World Bank has improved its Hungarian and global GDP growth forecasts for this year.
The Washington-based organization estimates that the Hungarian economy will grow by 3.8 percent this year, by 3.1 percent next year and by 2.9 percent in 2020, after the 3.9 percent growth of last year.
Last year’s growth was improved by 0.2 percentage points by the World Bank, while this year’s and the next year’s forecasts by both 0.1 percentage points.
In its most recent forecast, the World Bank impoved this year’s global GDP growth forecasts from the 2.9 percent of June to 3.1 percent. According to the World Bank, global economic growth will be 3 percent next year and 2.9 percent in 2020, compared to last year’s 3 percent growth.
