More companies founded in the first half of 2016
More than 13,000 companies were founded in Hungary in the first half of 2016. This constitutes a 7.6-percent growth from the base period (the first half of 2015). At the same time 5.7 percent fewer, a bit more than 24,500 enterprises went out of business in the same period – reported Opten Kft. Richárd Pertics, the company’s business unit manager told that the growth in the number of new enterprises established was the result of technical and economic factors. However, he added that the proportion of liquidated companies is still very high: just like in the first half of last year, twice as many businesses – 24,601 – were liquidated than founded.
