The Conference Board’s overall U.S. economic index rose in July
The Conference Board Economic Research Institute’s Comprehensive U.S. Economic Index rose more than expected in July.
According to a report released by the institute on Thursday, the value of the Leading Economic Index (LEI) increased by 0.9 percent to 116 points. Analysts expected a slightly lower rate, a 0.8 percent rise, after a 0.5 percent rise in June.
The 100-point value of LEI reflects the situation in 2016. (MTI)
