Penny To Remove Plastic Lids From 500gm Yoghurt Cups
German discount retailer Penny has announced that it is to remove plastic lids from all own-brand 500-gram yoghurt cups.
The initiative will help the discounter in removing 50 tonnes of plastic from its operations per year.
It will involve the removal of plastic lids from several Penny natural yoghurts (0.1%, 1.5%, and 3.5%) as well as different varieties of Skyr sold under the Elite private-label brand, the company said.
