Impressive Presentation: BEAUTY INTERNATIONAL posts outstanding results
Düsseldorf once again earned its name as the European capital for cosmetic professionals this weekend. The trade fair BEAUTY INTERNATIONAL DÜSSELDORF enthused both exhibitors and visitors alike, confirming the fairs' leading position as a trend forum for this industry.
Drawing to a close on Sunday BEAUTY INTERNATIONAL DÜSSELDORF continues its success story and produced satisfied smiles amongst exhibitors and trade visitors with its extremely positive results. Summing up, Joachim Schäfer, Managing Director at Messe Düsseldorf GmbH, and Helmut Winkler, Director of BEAUTY INTERNATIONAL, said: “For over a quarter of a century BEAUTY INTERNATIONAL has been the most important meeting point for professional cosmetic service providers. This is where industry professionals meet to exchange ideas in a high-calibre setting. The stable exhibitor and visitor figures evidence that BEAUTY INTERNATIONAL has become the leading event for cosmetic service providers.” Over the three days of the trade fair to the tune of 50,000 trade visitors attended BEAUTY INTERNATIONAL to gather information on the ranges displayed by 1,250 exhibitors and brands from 39 countries. Experts were invited to choose from over 100 professional events on the four focal themes cosmetics, nail, foot and wellness. In addition to innovations and trends plus the chance to order merchandise visitors were welcome to select from a varied and practice-driven agenda of continuous education seminars at the sectoral meeting point and the Meeting Point. In various competitions organised as part of BEAUTY INTERNATIONAL such as the German and International Make-up Championships and the National and International Nail Championships (Categories Gel and Powder Liquid) the best of the best plied their skills.
The significance of BEAUTY INTERNATIONAL as the sector’s foremost event was underlined by exhibitors from all four segments of BEAUTY INTERNATIONAL when they took stock of the three days with good conversations and leads with satisfaction. Dr. Christian Rimpler, Chairman of the Association Cosmetic Professional e.V., explained: “Our members are very satisfied. We can look back on a very intense weekend. Düsseldorf always serves as an indicator for the year. Visitors’ professional competence is extremely high and we had as many international leads as ever this year. BEAUTY INTERNATIONAL is the leading fair for the industry and clearly the No. 1 for us. We welcome the consistent development of the special-interest trade fair concept in Düsseldorf and look to the future with optimism. Our customers are prepared to invest.” The Cosmectic Professional e.V. association has now produced an App to scout high-quality institutes and present the new Beauty4me database exclusively at BEAUTY INTERNATIONAL. It was explained which criteria and characteristics can be applied to judge the professionalism, quality and skills of cosmetic institutes online.
Mechtild Geismann, Vice President of the Central Federation of German Podologists and Pedicurists (ZFD e.V.) also drew a positive bilance: “To us BEAUTY INTERNATIONAL is the most important trade fair alongside our own event. We are extremely satisfied with the interest and enquiries received at the stand. Visitors know that they receive independent advice from us. The mood in our sector is picking up in general and we take lots of positive momentum home from Düsseldorf.”
Special praise came from Lutz Hertel, Chairman of the German Wellness Association, for the Wellness segment: “With its design and atmosphere the focal area Spa and Wellness has again been a highlight of the whole trade fair. I am happy that all our partner companies are utterly satisfied. We were already inundated by other exhibitors on the first day of the trade fair who also want to take part here next year.” The Special Show Energetic Spa, where the German Wellness Association presented a concept for up-to-date, energizing treatments, was also very well attended, he said and added: “My special highlights included the presentation of our second Green Spa Award to the Mürz Hotel as well as the first Spa Manager of the Year award presented to Mr Stephan Wagner in cooperation with Messe Düsseldorf. Organising such important events BEAUTY INTERNATIONAL strengthens its position as the most important trade fair for the spa and wellness business in the German-speaking region,” says Hertel.
The next BEAUTY INTERNATIONAL DÜSSELDORF will be held from Friday to Sunday, 15 to 17 March 2013.
