Consumer rush did not occur in the United States
Despite the fact, that the huge chains were bombing the customers with actions, in December, the U.S. households spent less, than expected. Only a 0.2 percent increase occured, in household consumption, compared to November.
Although a lot of products were offered on special prices before Christmas and the personal income grew by 0.4 percent, compared to the previous month, the spending propensity decreased.
The U.S. households spent 0.8 percent less, for daily use articles and 0.2 percent more for durable articles, than a month earlier – reports Portfolio.hu.
