A joint initiative would terminate the mandatory marking on some foods
A Dutch – Swedish joint initiative would terminate the mandatory marking of the durability of different types of food products. The two state argue that this would significantly reduce food waste – Magyar Nemzet wrote.
The comb against food waste may be given increased focus within the European Union. The Dutch-Swedish initiative proposes to terminate the compulsory indication of the minimum durability in case of certain food products – the Ministry of Rural Development told. Hungary in general agrees with the proposition. The two countries basically calls for a review of the legal regulations currently in force, and ask the European Commission to develop concrete proposals for action in that case. (Magyar Nemzet).
