The amount of the cherry crop is below expectations
One thousand tons were expected, but the amount of cherries is slightly below 900 tons – Pusztai József executive director of Hunapfel Kft., Békés county’s largest cherry producer told MTI on Friday.
Pusztai József spoke about the causes of yield loss: the minor frost damage when sprouting, the high winds” during pollination were all phenomena that are individually do not usually cause much damages, but together result in yield decline” – he told. (MTI)
