Apple Pay launched in Hungary
On 21 May the Apple Pay service was launched in Hungary, debuting at OTP Bank and to be followed by more banks in the weeks to come. With Apple Pay customers can touch the payment terminal in shops not with their bank card, but with their mobile device (iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad or Mac). Instead of using a PIN code, customers have to unlock their phone when paying – in the case of an iPhone this can be done by the FaceID or the TouchID features. Apple Pay also simplifies buying online, as no bank card data need to be given manually. //
