The Soil-X-Change project has started
The Soil-X-Change project started under the leadership of a Hungarian consortium (Innomine) with the participation of 9 countries. At the “kick-off” project starting meeting held in Budapest on January 23-24, 2024, the 13 consortium members discussed the tasks of the three-year CSA (Coordination and Support Action) type project.
The aim of the project is to create a thematic network where good practices that improve soil health specific to the region and can be directly applied are collected and shared, and this is further expanded with the results of operational groups outside the consortium. The main task of the AKI will be to convey the collected knowledge to farmers, consultants and other actors in the agricultural economy through plant demonstrations. Within the Institute, Gábor Király will manage the tasks as project manager. The third Hungarian partner in the consortium is the Discovery Center, which is the leader of several EIP (European Innovation Partnership) operative groups on the topic of successful domestic soil research.
