Munch Market has started: the waste-reducing marketplace
The Munch food rescue application has been added with a new service. The latest initiative of the platform, Munch Market, is a waste-reducing marketplace that further expands Munch’s current value proposition and fundamentally changes the fight against waste in wholesale units. At Munch Market, manufacturers and wholesalers can sell their near-expiration, defective or out-of-season products at budget-friendly prices.
“The purpose of Munch is to fight against food waste. When we founded Munch, we wanted to create a service that fights against this on all fronts of the supply chain. We have now introduced our food saving solution at nearly 3,000 retailers, restaurants and bakeries. The point in the company’s life has now arrived where we can work on the realization of our vision by involving manufacturers and wholesalers, affecting the earlier stages of the supply chain.”
– said Zsoldos Botond, Munch’s Innovation Manager.
