Green Awards 2025 has started
Hungary’s most prestigious sustainability competition, the Green Awards, a joint award of Portfolio and Green Cloud, has been launched. The Green Awards powered by Green Cloud competition will open its doors for the fourth time to companies that shape the future with their exemplary green solutions. The award ceremony will take place on September 4, 2025, at the Sustainable World conference, where the country’s most outstanding sustainability projects will be sought in 7 categories. This year, the competition will once again shine a spotlight on companies that not only adapt to change, but also shape it.
Applications for the awards in each category are open to small, medium and large companies that are proud of their sustainability/greening activities, achievements, innovation or a given leader/colleague of the organization and can credibly present their real efforts in the field of sustainability.
“I would like to encourage small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as large companies, to apply boldly. The founders aim to make the Green Awards the most prominent award in the economic sphere. Since the founding of Green Cloud, we have been working to ensure that a sustainable, green future is not just a vision, but a tangible reality, which we strive to promote through innovation, cooperation and example. We believe that the best solutions should not only be implemented, but also made visible. We are waiting for those actors in the economy who share these principles and undertake to demonstrate by example that we have no future without sustainable, green operations”
– said Imre Mécs, founder, co-owner of Green Cloud, president of Solar Markt Group.
The aim of the competition organizers is also to draw attention to the greenwashing phenomenon and to show the difference between real and perceived greening through the performance of the awardees.
