Márka Üdítőgyártó Kft. has started producing Traubisoda, with this the iconic brand of the 70s and 80s is returning to the domestic soft drink market. At the festive event held on the occasion of the launch of the Traubisoda production line at Márka’s plant in Felsőlajos, Tibor Pécskövi, owner and managing director of Márka Üdítőgyártó, highlighted that the fundamental strategy of their company is to integrate as many Hungarian brands as possible into their company, so their big goal was to bring another traditional Hungarian soft drink brand back to the market after Márka and Gyöngy.

Márka Üdítőgyártó Kft., a 100 percent Hungarian-owned family business, signed a long-term agreement at the beginning of 2025 for the rights to produce and distribute the grape-flavored Traubisoda, the defining carbonated soft drink of the 70s and 80s. The agreement was signed on Tuesday in Felsőlajos, at the Márka Üdítőgyártó Kft. plant: the owner and managing director of Márka Üdítőgyártó Kft., which brought one of the oldest Hungarian soft drinks, Márka, back to the domestic market in 2007 and now also produces another iconic Hungarian brand, Traubisoda, Tibor Pécskövi, and the Traubisoda trademark owner, Szabolcs Deres, signed the agreement. After the agreement was signed, the Traubisoda production line was also ceremoniously launched.

“Our basic strategy is to collect Hungarian brands, so our big goal was to integrate Traubisoda into the company group,”

– said Tibor Pécskövi in his speech at the ceremony. Márka Üdítőgyártó Kft. The company’s CEO reminded us that their company was the first to bring back Márka soft drink to the market, then Gyöngy soft drink more than two years ago, and now they have expanded their range of traditional Hungarian brands with the grape-flavored carbonated soft drink Traubisoda.

The company’s CEO said that the return of Traubisoda will start with three already familiar flavors: the classic grape, its sugar-free, zero version, and a blue grape-flavored variation. One of the highlights of the new product range based on the traditional recipe is the sugar-free version that serves the needs of health-conscious consumers. The company’s goal is for zero products to account for 30 percent of sales.

By relaunching Traubisoda, Márka is not only bringing back a well-known, nostalgic brand, but also positioning the product in a higher quality category. Unlike the current market offering, Traubisoda is made with a significantly higher fruit content, which makes it unique among domestic carbonated soft drinks.
