The regulation on trans fatty acids entered into force
The regulation about the ratio of trans fatty acids in food products has entered into force on Tuesday.
According to the regulation, after 18 February, it is prohibited to market food products, that has a 2 percent trans fatty acid content. The legislation includes a grace period of 12 months for those pre-packaged foods that have been produced already, when the legislation came into force. (MTI)
