Second wave of the pandemic reaches e-commerce
At the end of September sales revenue in e-commerce exceeded that of the May peak during the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic – reveals a survey by digital marketing agency Growww Digital. In the 2nd quarter of 2020 the number of online transactions grew by 43 percent in Hungary and the value of these was up nearly 50 percent in e-commerce, in comparison with the same period of 2019, according to data from the Central Bank of Hungary (MNB).
László Szabó, an expert of Growww Digital forecasts that during the second wave of the pandemic logistics issues can cause the biggest problem. More and more e-commerce businesses are preparing with their own vans and drivers for the busy end-of-year.//
