Analysts: foreign trade continues to perform at a high level
The Hungarian foreign trade continued to perform at a high level, the dynamics of growth in the longer term will depend on the evolution of export capacities – according to analysts polled by MTI.
According to the Central Statistical Office's (KSH) first estimate released on Thursday, the euro-denominated value of exports grew by 2.5 percent in May, while imports were 0.7 percent lower than a year before. The May export surplus of 505 million euros (155 billion HUF) is 224 million euros higher than the data of last May. In the first five months of the year,exports increased by 6.9 and imports increased by 5.1 percent compared to the same period of last year. (MTI)
