Analysts: retail sales may increase with 4-5 percent this year
Retail sales may increase by 4-5 percent this year, and macroeconomic analysts interviewed by MTI claim that similar results are expected next year.
According to the report of the Central Statistical Office (KSH) released on Wednesday, the growth in retail sales continued in August, while in-store sales were 4.6 percent higher than in the same period of last year. Growth in non-food retail stores continued to grow by 7.7 percent, but the calendar effect adjusted 2.6 percent increase in fuel sales was somewhat behind the 2.9 percent increase in food an mixed retail sales.
