Analysts: fuel consumption pushed back retail sales in September basically
The acceleration in the decline in fuel consumption due to missed trips due to the second wave of the pandemic has left its mark on retail sales in September. For the rest of the year, household uncertainty and caution may be decisive in the development of consumption – analysts told MTI commenting on the KSH’s latest report on retail sales in September.
The Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Thursday that in September the volume of retail trade turnover decreased by 1.6 percent and by 2.0 percent, calendar-adjusted, compared to the same period of the previous year. Compared to August, the seasonally and calendar-adjusted volume of retail store turnover increased by 1.0 percent. (MTI)
