The recovery in retail sales is a good sign for GDP growth
Retail sales revival in November is a good sign of last year’s fourth-quarter GDP growth, analysts said in a statement, commenting on the report of the Central Statistical Office (KSH) released on Tuesday.
According to KSH’s report, retail sales in November last year were 6.8 percent higher than in the same period of the previous year, adjusted for calendar effects, after 6.2 percent last month.
Virovácz Péter, senior analyst at ING Bank told MTI that November was the second strongest month in retail sales last year. (MTI)
