Analysts: the weakening of forint has appeared in the August inflation data
The rise in inflation and core inflation in August will see an increase in excise duties on tobacco and fuels, high food prices and a weaker forint – analysts who told MTI said they expect the central bank’s monetary reaction, but believe that raising the base rate will not comes into play.
According to a report released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) on Wednesday, consumer prices were on average 3.9 percent higher in August than a year before, with annual core inflation rising from 4.5 percent in July to 4.7 percent. (MTI)
