Analysts: consumption may have significantly dragged GDP growth in the first quarter
In addition to wage increases at the beginning of the year, one-off benefits paid in February, low base data and gasoline tourism also contributed to inflation expectations in March, according to MTI analysts.
According to a report by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) published on Wednesday, the volume of retail trade turnover in March was 16.2 percent higher than a year before. The turnover in food and food-type mixed stores was 0.2 percent higher, essentially the same as in March last year. (MTI)
