Sufficient autumn rye seed is available to farmers

“The first and one of the most important steps in successful agricultural production is seed selection. One of the most important crops in domestic arable farming is ear crops. In theory, it would be in the interest of everyone who grows wheat or other grain crops to sow certified, metal-sealed seed that offers a guarantee. However, currently, on average, the proportion of metal-sealed seeds is about 40 percent of the seeds sown each year, which means that our country is lagging behind the European average. One of the important efforts of the Seed Association is to increase the rate of use of metal-sealed corn seeds, which is why we launched a campaign among agricultural producers. We want to make them aware as much as possible that the use of qualified, metal-sealed seed is one of the very important conditions for the production of marketable quality goods and for ensuring traceability. In the midst of changing conditions and climate anomalies, farmers can only take advantage of the increased yield achieved during breeding, increased resistance, and the advantages provided by increasingly better or special quality varieties by sowing metal-sealed seeds instead of re-sown seeds”
