There will be enough fish for the year-end feasts

There will be enough Hungarian fish for the year-end holidays, and in addition to the balanced domestic supply, significant quantities will be exported – Lévai Ferenc, spokesman of the Hungarian Aquaculture and Fisheries Interbranck Organization (Mahal) said.

Lévai Ferenc – who is also the CEO of the Aranyponty Zrt. – said that this year’s freshwater fish production is about 19,000 tons, and about 4,000 tons are produced in the Hungarian intensive farms. In Hungary, carp gives about 80 percent of total consumption. (MTI)
