The fate of the HUF 3.5 million total support of the Szentkirály Talent Program has been decided

At the beginning of June, the professional jury of the 2024 Szentkirályi Talent Program selected the program’s three runners-up, who are supported by the award-winning mineral water brand with a total of HUF 3.5 million, in addition to their national recognition. However, for the first time this year, the audience decided on the placing and thus the prize money of the outstanding young athletes in the summer Olympic numbers, swimmer Nagy Napsugár, pentathlonist Zoé Zemán and athlete Kriszt Sarolta. The voting ended on the first of September, Zoé Zemán Zóra got the most votes.

Talented 14-18-year-old youth athletes in summer Olympic sports could apply for the fifth Szentkirályi Talent Program, which was created with the professional support of the Hungarian Olympic Committee. From the record number of more than 150 applicants, the five-member jury – Krisztián Berki, sports director of the Hungarian Gymnastics Federation, Olympian gymnast and program ambassador, Katalin Kovács, three-time pentathlon champion kayaker, Tímea Nagy, Olympic fencer, Levente Balogh, president of Szentkirályi Hungary, and László Fábián, The secretary general of the Hungarian Olympic Committee, an Olympic champion pentathlete, selected the three winners based on professional criteria at the beginning of July, but they were not the first to decide on their ranking this year, the order was decided by public vote.

The results of the 2024 Szentkirályi Talent Program public vote:

1st place – 18-year-old pentathlete Zóra Zemán won the HUF two million grant, who has placed first 13 times in domestic and international competitions in the past three years.

2nd place – The only 16-year-old, multiple long-distance and short-course Hungarian champion, swimmer Nagy Napsugár, will receive HUF one million support.

3rd place – 18-year-old athlete Kriszt Sarolta, who won 15 national first places in various athletic events and first and second places in the heptathlon at European competitions in the past three years, won half a million forints in support.
