Ukrainian grain is invading the markets
In recent weeks the grain exports of Ukraine has accelerated. This is partly due to the record harvest and the earlier than usual started harvest, but the fact that because of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict the farmers who hardly access to bank credits are forced to sell everything immediately to obtain cash also plays a role in it.
Between 1 July and 8 August the Ukrainian grain exports increased by 60 percent, compared to the same period of 2013 and amounted to 2.7 million tonnes. From early yields of cereals 32.5 million tonnes to be harvested, of which about 22.5 million tonnes are wheat. Overall, , the entire harvest will be around 63 million tonnes. (tozsdeforum.hu, MTI)
