This year, Tesco and Nestlé are also making a monetary donation from the food sold
This year, between September 28 and October 11, the Nestlé and Tesco joint campaign to support the work of the Hungarian Food Bank Association will run again. Within the framework of the initiative, Nestlé supports the activities of the Food Bank with a percentage of the value of certain products purchased in domestic Tesco hypermarkets and on the online interface of the supermarket chain, and Tesco doubles the amount. The organization primarily spends the money collected on logistics, that is, it delivers packages made of saved food to those in need.
Certain products available in all Tesco hypermarkets in Hungary and on the Tesco Otthon online ordering page also take part in the promotion, so customers from all over the country can support the food rescue work of the Food Bank, including sweets, coffee, baby food, pet food, seasonings, sauces, soup cubes and – by buying powders and cereals. The complete list of affected brands and products is available on the Nestlé Hungária website. From every HUF 1,000 subsidy, the Association delivers a food package worth HUF 30,000, composed of saved food, to those who really need help.
