Walmart leaves Britain
The US retail giant is selling its UK chain, Asda, worth 6.8 billion pounds to TDR Capital’s owners. The new owners plan to invest1 billion pounds in the company.
Walmart has announced the sale of its UK supermarket chain, Asda. The U.S. retail giant has long wanted to sell the British chain, which, according to official information, has 631 outlets in the UK and employs more than 140,000 people. (portfolio.hu)
