Unilever strengthened in both sales and price – exceeding analyst expectations
Unilever reported solid revenue growth in the second quarter of 2025: the British-Dutch consumer goods giant achieved organic growth of 3.8%, which exceeded analysts’ expectations of 3.6%, the company’s latest report revealed.
The positive result was due to a combination of price and volume increases, according to the company. In the period between April and June, product prices increased by an average of 2.0%, while sales volume increased by 1.8%. The report highlights that the strong performance of the Dove brand also contributed significantly to the favorable performance.
For the first six months of the year as a whole, Unilever’s growth, adjusted for exchange rate and acquisition effects, was 3.4%. The average price of products increased by 1.9% during this period, while sales volume expanded by 1.5%, so the company shows balanced growth on both the price and volume sides.
The company also confirmed its annual forecast: management continues to expect organic revenue growth of 3-5% for the whole of 2025 – which seems realistically achievable based on current trends.
