Easter ham: edible or not?
One-third of the Easter hams checked by inspectors for the request of the RTLII TV channel have failed on the tests.
Among the Easter hams tested in the laboratory of the SGS Food Tester “home made products” and pre-packaged product of chain of stores were also be found. The unpackaged hams – because they are vulnerable to environmental contaminants – have a very high food safety risk, so diligent and careful handling is required. They should be stored at dry, cool places hanged up. The pre-packaged ham in order to preserve the quality must be stored in accordance with the instructions, making sure to the integrity of the packaging.
