The Kalumba Madagascar gin family is enriched with an exotic taste
Zwack is introducing a new drink special this year, so that gin lovers can choose their favorite summer cooler from an even wider range. Kalumba Madagascar Maracuja Gin brings refreshment to hot nights with a combination of passion fruit and lemongrass, evoking the atmosphere of the tropics.
The Zwack Family’s more than 200 years of experience spanning generations is covered in legends, and its innovations are always surrounded by a bit of mystique and mystery. The history of Kalumba began in the jungle, the popular gin is made with herbs and spices from Madagascar and Africa, including the eponymous Kalumba root. Kalumba White Gin and Spiced Gin were joined in 2022 by the addition of mango and blood orange, and with passion fruit, the Kalumba range has now expanded to five. Evoking tropical aromas and flavors, Kalumba Madagascar Maracuja Gin is available from May.
The new passion fruit gin is made by adding – among other things – lemon peel, lemongrass, citrus myrtle, cubeb pepper, rose pepper, lemon reed, bay laurel, coriander, orange peel, grapefruit peel and calum root. The varied fruity notes and the unmistakable flavor of juniper are responsible for the refreshing finish. All these create the harmony of sweet and sour flavors. The gin specialty is made using traditional methods in the Pálinka Manufactory of Zwack in Kecskemét.
Kalumba Madagascar Maracuja Gin is recommended as a gin and tonic cocktail.
