The primary goal of the cooperation between the two organizations is to improve the situation of Hungarian agricultural producers by involving the expertise and international relations of the MFOI, through development applications that are based on international cooperation and are implemented with the active participation of other economic sectors, they wrote in the announcement. In the course of joint work, they try to increase the knowledge and competence of agricultural actors in relation to the use of EU funds; they monitor and communicate to Hungarian farmers the current European agricultural trends and the news of the Brussels programs; they also try to promote cooperation between actors in agriculture and related industries, research institutes, universities and businesses for the purpose of effective tendering.
MAGOSZ is the largest agricultural advocacy organization in Hungary, whose rural base consists of hundreds of local farmers’ circles and 19 county farmers’ associations.
The MFOI was established by the Hungarian government with the aim of contributing to the increase of Hungarian participation in direct management EU programs, and to help Hungarian and Central and Eastern European actors in the application process – it is explained in the announcement.
