Auchan makes French operations simpler
Auchan has announced 677 redundancies, which is about 17 percent of the total number of workers at its head office. The redundancies are part of a plan to save EUR 1.1 billion by 2022, which it seeks to reinvest in other parts of its operations as part of its transformation project. Auchan’s strategy in the medium term is to focus more on healthy, local and exclusive items. To this end, it is aiming to have 17 percent of its products to be locally produced by 2022.
