Hungarians are spending more and more, but traders are in a difficult situation
Payments are rising throughout the country. As a side effect a 10 percent increase in retail sales occured in 2018, compared to the previous year, according to the data of the Central Statistical Office (KSH).
However, supermarket owners are not in an easy position. Increasing wage needs and a changing regulatory environment make them difficult to do business – was said at the professional conference of EY. Managers must also pay close attention to boosting their purchases and keeping their employees competitive.
