More and more people are spending more and more real money on virtual fashion clothing
While the idea of spending real money on garments that don’t physically exist is embarrassing to many, virtual objects still generate real traffic, origo write after Reuters.
When the Decentraland virtual world announced in June that users could make and sell their own clothes for their avatars (virtual selves), Hiroto Kai stayed up all night to design Japanese-inspired garments.
Decentraland is a decentralized 3D virtual reality platform powered by the Ethereum blockchain; It was opened to the public in February 2020 and is overseen by the nonprofit Decentraland Foundation. (origo)
