Hungarians consume more and more pork
While in 2015 an average Hungarian consumed 25.3 kilogrammes of pork, by 2019 the figure was 29 kilogrammes.
Consumers are increasingly aware of the need for high-quality domestic products and the health-conscious diet – According to the survey of the Hungarian Association of Pig Breeders involving 276 consumers.
The pig sector accounted for 8 percent of Hungarian agricultural output in 2018, and the Hungarian pig population was close to 2.9 million – according to the Central Statistical Office (KSH).
