An increasing number of Russian tourists are visiting Hungary

In the first nine months of this year, 14 percent less, 36.8 million Russian citizens traveled abroad on the basis of the Russian Bureau of Statistics. However, more Russians came to Hungary than a year ago.

According to the data published on the website of the Russian Interfax news agency the number of Russian citizens who travel abroad as tourists fell by 2 percent to 14.5 million.

During the period 4 million Russians travelled to Turkey, their number was 10 percent higher than a year before. Finland is in second place with 3.8 million Russian tourists, 10 percent less in the first nine months compared to last year. Egypt was the third largest destination with 2.2 million Russian tourists, and the fourth was China with 1.5 million Russian tourists. To Hungary 95.4 thousand Russians had travelled, 105 percent more, compared to last year's first nine months. (MTI)
