Ukrainians consume more and more foreign meat and milk

In Ukraine, the consumption of foreign meat and dairy products has greatly increased. In the first nine months of the year, the country imported three times as much meat than in last year – the Gyelo Ukrainian Economic Journal wrote on Wednesday.

According to datas of the State Statistical Service, by the end of the third quarter this year, the exports of Ukrainian products were 50.79 billion USD, 1.8 percent higher than in the same period of the last year. However, the imports increased by 4.7 percent and amounted to 62.27 billion USD. A sharp increase occurred in the import of foreign meat and milk products. (MTI, Kovács Andrea)
