More and more wine is consumed in China
Wine consumption increases significantly in China, where wine can suppress the traditionally popular national alcoholic drinks as well.
According to the of January report of the Vinexpo trade association, China became the world’s largest wine-consuming nation in 2013 – ahead of France and Italy. Last year, a total of 1.87 billion bottles of wine were consumed, one third more than five years ago. By including white and rosé wines, consumption may rise to three billion bottles in 2015.
