A growing number of consumer complaints
The Budapest Conciliation Board closed 1774 cases last year. This is nearly 400 more cases, than the 1398 cases of 2008 – said Baranovszky György the Chairman of the Board on Wednesday's press conference in Budapest.
Nearly half of the cases were in connection with trade. A lot of complaints were received in connection with travel, repair, maintenance and utility services, the third affected area was the sector of financial services.
Last year, half of the cases, (1774 case) were dismissed by the Budapest Conciliation Board, because they were not substantiated or withdrawn by the complainant – reports MTI.
