Tank beer, which has a strong tradition among the Czechs, is already available in several places in Budapest, which provides an exceptional consumer experience in terms of its aroma, flavor harmony, carbon dioxide content and foam retention. The Pilsner Urquell tank beer, which comes straight from Pilsen in the Czech Republic, is available courtesy of Dreher Sörgyárak in Szimpla Kert, Kopaszi Kert and Stifler Sörház.

Anyone who can appreciate quality draft beers will probably appreciate tank beer, since among all the packages, it is the one that gets into the consumer’s glass the soonest after production.

The tank beer offers the freshest possible effect: it is as if we were sipping the just-made beer from the “inside tank” in the factory, which means a quality and exceptional consumer experience in terms of aroma, flavor harmony, carbon dioxide content, and foam retention – the kind that the master brewer originally dreamed of. While tank beer is a relatively new and special genre in Hungarian beer culture, it already has a serious tradition in the Czechs.

Tank beer is not pasteurized*, so it can be kept for a shorter period of time, its warranty period is only three weeks, but during that time it is carefully taken care of, which guarantees excellent quality both during the short storage and delivery time. Special containers are filled with filtered cold beer in the brewery, and this temperature is maintained throughout. Freshly filled tanks are taken to cold stores, where they are stored in a dry place protected from sunlight and are not moved until delivery. These 500-liter copper tanks are not only spectacular, but together with the transport form a completely closed and sterile system that preserves the quality and rich taste of the fresh beer. The drink itself does not come into contact with the copper, because there is a special bag inside the copper tanks. The tank beer is delivered in a closed truck to the storage tanks set up in the beer halls.
