The growing challenge of climate change
”The global climate change has the bigges affect on agriculture We need to adapt to the increasingly extreme weather conditions at a regional level” said – Katona Béla, president of the Hungarian National Assembly in Ljubljana.
Katona Béla, president of the Hungarian National Assembly participated on the Presidential Conference of the Regional Cooperation Countries. The co-participants are Slovakia, Slovenia, Poland, Austria, the Czech Republic and Hungary. Also the Parliamentary delegations of Croatia, Slovenia, Bulgaria and Romania were invited to the two-day conference.
According to experts, In Hungary and the Balkans, the drought will be increasingly challenging, but with severe droughts and floods.
Katona Béla said that the most urgent task is a sustainable land management and water development – reports Privátbankár.hu.
