Hungarians are increasingly open to used technical products
At its press conference held on August 27, Rejoy announced that they will soon expand their product range with laptops, thus further strengthening their position on the used electronic devices market. The company, which until now became known mainly for the sale of refurbished smartphones and tablets, is now opening a new direction in order to serve the needs of customers even more widely.
The latest iPhone models are already available at Rejoy, including the iPhone 14 and 15, and the iPhone 16 will soon be available for purchase. The company plans to introduce a new box design in the near future, and all devices will be sold wrapped in foil to give customers an even more “new” feeling. In addition, the warranty period was extended from one year to two years, emphasizing that buying used products does not pose a risk.
Bence Blaumann, the managing director of Rejoy, also spoke about the company’s development, emphasizing that the company originally started as a marketplace, but due to the initial complaints, they created their own service service. This service now operates on 2,100 square meters with 250 technicians and, due to high demand, also operates on weekends. Rejoy achieved a 96% increase compared to last year, which clearly shows the increasing demand for refurbished electronic products.
The main groups of Rejoy’s customers are men aged 45-50, the age group 25-34, and Generation Z. 70% of the items sold are from private individuals and are typically in better condition than corporate assets. iPhone models, especially the iPhone 11 to 15 versions, are the most sought after, but MacBooks and Apple Watches will also be available in the near future. Demand for Apple products is particularly high in Hungary, tablets and smart watches sell 40% more than in other European countries.
