The Hungarian candy consumers are increasingly demanding
Over the past year, the value of sold seasonal sweets increased by 10 percent, compared to growth expectations of 2-3 percent. This year, confectioners expect a further increase in the value of sweets, while the amount of sweets sold may remain unchanged because consumers are increasingly choosing quality or premium products – Sánta Sánta, president of the Hungarian Confectionery Association told.

Every year, the demand for quality and premium sweets is constantly and gradually increasing in Hungary. More and more people are consciously choosing high added value products made from excellent ingredients, including high-cocoa chocolate, wholemeal biscuits, soft gum and special sweets such as one of last year’s hit, naturally ruby chocolate.
