The retail real estate market is becoming more expensive in Budapest – the latest analysis of the CBRE global real estate consultant was published by portfolio.hu.
The supply of new retail spaces reached historic lows in recent years: since 2012 less than 50 thousand square meters of new retail space appeared on the real estate market. The total modern retail space (including retail warehouse stores) was 3.6 million square meters – half of them can be found in Budapest and its surroundings, 27 percent can be found in cities with more than 100 thousand inhabitants, 25 percent can be found in other cities.
