One-third less cereals, means a loss of 60-80 thousand HUF per hectare
According to Vancsura József, President of the National Association of Cereal Growers; Due to the the drought, and the rainy, stormy weather in the last year it is expected that the farmers will harvested about 30 percent less cereals.
Despite the problems Vancsura József, believes that the country's 1.2 million tonnes of bread-making, and food grain needs, and the 1,5-2 million tons of exports, as well as to feed the needs of 4 million tonnes of wheat crops will be satisfied.
The fall in world prices put a major impact on domestic sales prices. The wheat price of 25-30 HUF per tonnes this year did not cover the costs. The loss of farmers will be 60-80 thousand HUF per hectare – reports agrarhaszon.hu.
