Sales are distributed evenly
Spice retail sales grew by 1 percent in April 2010-March 2011, from the previous comparable period. Volume sales were down 1 percent on the HUF 13-billion market. In 2009 manufacturer brands improved their position, but last year it was private labels who bettered their market share, from 22 to 24 percent. Spices are important in practically all store types and regions as sales are more evenly distributed than that of other food products
